I am Miyuni Gamge,
In 2011, I was in kindergarten. That was my start. I trained with one person. I was participated and won many tournaments in district and province. I will tell you few special championships in my life. In 2012, I was in Grade 01 at Sangamittha college Galle. “2012” it was my lucky year. 2012 I was won 3 rd place of the Sri Lanka Individual School’s Chess Championship and had a chess tour of Greece. In 2013 , I was selected Asian youth Chess Championship in Sri Lanka. I was caption in my school team and won “Talented chess player” in sangamittha college Galle.
And then in 2017, I was a student of Dharmasoka college at Ambalangoda. “2017” it was my another lucky year. In 2017 I was champion of the Sri Lanka Individual School’s Chess Championship and had a chess tour of China. In this school, I was captain in my school team.

I was told you ,In My all success, One person behind me. Did you remember? You can guess Who is that person. Ok, I will tell you. He is my coach. Mr.Sanjeewa Lamahewa. I was stared my chess life within him in I was in kindergarten. I thought, I cannot come here without him. He is one of good chess coaches in Sri Lanka. I will invite all of you to train with TICA. Mr.Sanjeewa Lamahewa analyses our games and understands our weakness and our strong points making us the future of Sri Lanka Chess. You all are inviting again to train with TICA.

I work with Chess coach from grade 2. Coach’s explanation very clear and straight to point. Increase
international rating up to 1340+. I won National level championship in sri lanka and played Asian
championship 2012 .

Mr. Sanjeewa Lamahewa is one of the most well know chess coaches in Sri Lanka. I too was under his
training seeking a dream to be a chess player with an international rating. He not only made me a rated
player but also rised my rating 1200+. Also during his training I was able to win equal third place of the
Sri Lanka individual school's chess championship and have a chess tour to Romania. Sure I lost a few
matches but he taught me to accept defeat and rage victorious. For this day I am in love with chess and
it's all thanks to him. I highly recommend any begineer or intermediate or even a expert to train
alongside with him. He analyses our chess games and understands our weaknesses and our strong
points making us the future of Sri Lankan chess. Highly recommended coaching for all.
